        GENERAL INFORMATION

The XXXVII edition of the "Attilio Corbella" Summer School on Organic Synthesis will be held in Gargnano (BS) from June 18 to June 22, 2012.

This Summer School has a long tradition, which dates back to 1976. It is organized once a year by the Organic Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI) in Gargnano, a small village on Lake Garda. Since its foundation, the School has been held in “Palazzo Feltrinelli”, a XIX century villa which belongs to the University of Milan and is equipped with teaching facilities for up to 150 participants.

In addition to being an important point of cultural reference and scientific information for all organic chemists, the "Attilio Corbella" Summer School also offers a great opportunity to establish new and profitable scientific and interpersonal relationships, as a result of its friendly and collaborative atmosphere involving participants and lecturers alike.

Thirty-six years after its foundation, the "Attilio Corbella" Summer School on Organic Synthesis is still the most popular summer school in Italy for young organic chemists and a unique venue to meet present and future colleagues.

        How to reach Gargnano

By car
A22 Motorway: Exit Rovereto Sud
A4 Milano-Venezia Motorway: Exit Brescia Est (coming from Milano) or Exit Desenzano del Garda (travelling from Verona).

By bus
from Brescia (Brescia-Riva del Garda line - SIA Autoservizi bus company, tel. 030 377 4237). The bus station is adjacent to the railway station; the buses are frequent (about every 30 or 60 min from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.) and the journey takes about 1 hour and 30 min.
Brescia is connected by train with Milano and with Verona. Intercity trains from Milano Central Station (45 min ride) and from Verona Porta Nuova Station (40 min ride) are scheduled about every hour.
Gargnano can be reached by bus also from Desenzano del Garda, which is connected with Verona by train.
